WHAT'S NEW :

Recently found out my image of this Uakari Monkey won the Maggie Award for Best Cover, Trade Magazine! The Maggie Award is the most prestigious publishing award in the West, given by the Western Publishing Association (WPA). This was especially thrilling since I was not aware that the editor had even submitted this cover for consideration. So the win caught me by complete surprise!

Had a trip of a lifetime on the spectacular island of Maui. Travelling alone, my photo adventure allowed me to focus solely on photography. I ate, slept and breathed photography and it was amazing. Many images from that trip can be viewed in the New Gallery.

Photographed some very unique musical events highlighting the iconic Stradivarius violins for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Huntington Library. Also worked with the Los Angeles Master Chorale for their 50th Anniversary Gala and performance. Some highlights of those events can be viewed in the New Gallery as well. Other event highlights can also be viewed in my updated published section.

For the Pasadena Convention and Visitors Bureau, I covered the International Make-Up Artist Show (IMATS). They also needed new marketing images of the Pasadena Skyline and that brought me to the rooftops to capture that.

Recently finished an extensive assignment for the City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Convention & Visitor Bureau revamping their marketing images. This was my largest project to date, involving over 15 different locations which included various restaurants, retail shopping areas, business district, and museums.

I celebrated the New Year by officially photographing the Rose Parade. Armed with an all-access badge, it was wonderful to be able to go anywhere and photograph anything I wanted.

Worked with a new client, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra on new marketing images.

Two images from that shoot was published in both the Los Angeles Times print edition as well as online.

Won a full page highlight in the annual AZA Photo Contest with an up close and personal portrait of an orangutan.

Photographed theatre company A Noise Within's Holiday Tea with a Chrismas Carol Theme.

A handful of my stock images were published online on the Huffington Post and one on Travel + Leisure.

A clothing boutique was celebrating Fashion's Night Out with an event and needed some marketing images.

And what photographer's website update can be complete without new images in the gallery:

I have been shooting quite a bit for Pasadena Magazine. I started by photographing numerous events, and have expanded to editorial stories, portrait profiles, and advertorial guides. Some samples of my work can be seen in the Assignments gallery.

I recently just finished an extensive photo project to document the L.A. Zoo's brand new LAIR Exhibit for the architecture and design firm, The Portico Group. Highlights of the photoshoot can be seen in the new LAIR gallery:

Along with photographing the new reptile exhibit for Portico, some of my images have been used in the advertising campaign for the exhibit. Including the huge billboard at the Zoo's entrance, newspaper ads, and billboards around Southern California.

I recently photographed the Pasadena Arts Council Inaugural AxS awards and the 47th Annual Gold Crown Award.

The Beverly Hills Bar Association hosted their 24th Vintage Bouquet Event that I photographed:

I also designed a new ScholarShare bookmark for the L.A. Zoo:

The L.A. Zoo's annual Beastly Ball honored Sarah Michelle Gellar and former Mayor Richard Riordan, with special guests Betty White, Pauley Perrette, and Jimmy Pardo.

In honor of longtime L.A. Zoo supporter Betty White's incredible 90th Birthday, she graced the cover of the Winter Zoo View with my photograph of her with Jacob the Boa:

There was also a panel discussion with the people behind the show "Who Do You Think You Are?" at the Autry Museum, with special guest Lisa Kudrow who is an Executive Producer of the show about geneaology.

The architecture and design firm, The Portico Group commissioned me to do a full photographic documentation of the new Elephants of Asia exhibit at the L.A. Zoo. I really enjoy these photo shoots, making the exhibits shine and showing these exhibits in their best light.

A Noise Within, a repertory-theater company had their grand opening gala in October and I was lucky enough to be their photographer for this wonderful celebration.

The L.A. Zoo unveiled the Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel this fall and I was commissioned to photograph it for the cover story in Zoo View, and the subsequent usage for various marketing.

My new cover of the Carousel for the Fall Zoo View issue can be seen in my Covers page:

My portrait of Billy, our male Asian Elephant was featured in the AZA Photo Contest, pictured center on the page.

And finally, I completely revamped my published page to make it more organized and consistent with the site's galleries.
